About us
Mercia Marina
is family-owned business operated by experienced personnel who are also
narrow boaters themselves, over £6m has been spent to create a first-class
mooring for boaters, as well as a destination for other visitors.
By retaining the existing character and profile of
Willington Lake and adding five islands and four promontories, Mercia Marina
is akin to a series of small marinas joined by wide expanses of open water.
This will be enhanced by the £65,000 planting scheme due to commence in
February 2009, featuring wildflower banks, specimen trees and native plants.
The standard of facilities for boaters is equally high. The
three facilities blocks offer twelve showers, numerous toilets as well as
laundry machines. Parking is close to all the berths and access is via
electronic automatic security gates. Two pump out and two diesel pumps are
available, as is a double covered dry dock.
The aim is to provide attractive private moorings which are
safe and secure, offering all the facilities boaters require, at competitive
prices.
We are pleased that some excellent companies have joined us to
offer further services to the boaters, such as
Aqua Narrowboats,
Willowtree Tea Rooms,
Trade n’ Post and
Shakespeare Classic Line. Please see their individual pages for more
information.
We will be delighted to provide you with a brochure and full
information pack about Mercia Marina.
