Boating
Community is at the heart of what we do.
Boating at Mercia Marina isn’t just about mooring your boat – it’s about joining a vibrant, welcoming community on one of the UK’s major canals. With over 630 berths arranged in a series of mini-marinas bounded by islands and promontories, Mercia offers the feel of a small marina with the facilities of the largest. We’ve deliberately brought the spirit of the canal into the marina. There is a real sense of belonging and getting involved amongst the boaters.
Mercia’s boating community is a diverse mix of adventurers, hobbyists, cruisers, dreamers and those seeking a better life. Whether moored here year-round or stopping by on your journey, you’ll be part of something special, a place where neighbours become friends, and shared experiences create lasting memories.
Each berth has non-slip fixed pontoons, full length jetties, metered 16A, and wired superfast internet. Three modern facilities blocks, two pumpouts, two elsans, two diesel points, a double dry dock, the largest Midland Chandlers, a workshop and brokerage complete the services but not the story. The real story is of community which is also the story of the canals. With nearly 150 social events a year and 12 groups to join (or not) you can join in a lot or a little.
