Mercia Marina is perfectly placed for discovering the charming villages and towns nearby. Just a short walk away is Willington, a welcoming village known for its friendly community and excellent amenities. Here, you’ll find three inviting pubs, ideal for a relaxing pint or a hearty meal, as well as shops, cafes, and essential services. Willington offers the perfect mix of village charm with practical convenience.

 

A little further afield are the picturesque villages of Findern and Repton. Findern is a quiet, idyllic spot with beautiful countryside walks and traditional village life, while Repton is steeped in history, renowned for its historic buildings, charming streets, and the famous Repton School. Repton is also home to St Wystan’s Church, famous for its Anglo-Saxon crypt which is the burial place of two Mercian kings.

Mercia Marina is well connected by road, rail and bus. We offer free entry and parking to all visitors.​​

By car: 1 mile from A50 & A38 junction 6 miles from Derby Centre.
By bus: V3 buses from Derby or Burton stop directly at the marina.
By train: Frequent trains stop at Willington Station.
